SiGREEN and the Power of Purpose-Driven Design

When I joined the SiGREEN team, I knew I was stepping into something meaningful but I didn’t realise how quickly our work would leave a mark. SiGREEN is a platform that helps companies measure and reduce their carbon footprint across global supply chains. My role as a UX designer was to take complex sustainability data and transform it into experiences that felt simple, actionable, and collaborative for businesses.
The journey was intense filled with research, design iterations, and close collaboration across disciplines. Engineers, product managers, researchers, and designers worked side by side, united by one vision: to make sustainability measurable and transparent at scale.
That vision was recognized when our work on SiGREEN won the prestigious Werner-von-Siemens Award in the category of Technology with Purpose. Standing alongside my teammates, I felt proud not just of what we built, but of the impact it represents helping enterprises move toward a greener and more responsible future.
For me, this award was more than recognition. It was proof that thoughtful design, when aligned with technology and purpose, can accelerate real change.
